DIVING INSTRUCTION

There are three beautiful natural coral reefs within swimming distance of our pristine beach, making Lauderdale by the Sea the shore diving capital of the United States. At the Lauderdale by the Sea Resort & Beachclub we encourage our guests to explore these underwater treasures through a host of activities. Guinness World Record holder, Captain Tim Nease will be your guide.

Snorkel Excursions:

There are several ways that visitors and families can explore the reefs. The Resort offers private and group guided snorkel tours of the reefs. Guests may also rent or purchase snorkel equipment to explore these reefs on their own.

Scuba Diving:

Any guest can also scuba dive the natural reefs. Experienced and certified divers are welcome to rent equipment from our dive shop 7 days a week. However, for those not certified, we offer resort courses and full certification courses. In fact, beginning in February 2009, guests will be able to participate in a distance learning program which allows them to work through the classroom portions of the certification process from home so that they need not waste time in classrooms when they get to the resort.
